Nina is a prestigious Peabody Award winner for her journalism working on global news and international current affairs for the BBC World Service. She is recipient of a Foreign Press Association prize for her programme on south-side Chicago’s dog fighting scene and was temporarily based in Kingston, Jamaica as a foreign correspondent.
Over her BBC career, she worked at senior editorial levels in radio, TV and digital/online news leaving after the pandemic to set up her own media production company specialising in podcasts, in her home city of Birmingham in the West Midlands.
As CEO of Soundtruism, she founded the Uni Pod Festival a podcast creator festival that platforms diverse voices whilst upskilling next-gen and regional podcasting talent based at Birmingham City University. She was awarded a Fellowship by The Radio Academy – the highest accolade awarded by UK’s radio industry in 2023 and is a passionate advocate for diversity in the UK media industry.
