Unfortunately, we are not able to offer any guest tickets. However, as soon as the ticket sales open, we would strongly encourage you to inform your family and friends to purchase the tickets for the event.

Yes, each speaker is responsible for their own expenses including travel to the venue and overnight stays.
We sure do. We have 2 separate dressing rooms for the comfort of our male and female speakers.
On the stage, you will have in front of you 2 screens that only you can see. The first screen will show you a time counter which will count down. The second screen will show you your current slide (The one that the audience will see on the big screen) and the next slide. This will ensure you always face the audience.
Yes, a clicker will be provided, and you will be shown how to use it the day before the event.
We are currently working with our Production team and will share further guidance once this is available.
However, please avoid the following:
- Solid black or striped clothing
- High contrast tops to prevent the ‘Moire’ effect.

Yes, there is plenty of parking spaces available at the venue at a small cost for parking on the day via a parking meter.
Yes, you will be required to be at the venue for the full event. Exact start and end times will be confirmed closer to the time.
No. The event is timed in detail and each talk must not exceed 15 minutes. When practising it is beneficial to prepare to come just under 15 mins (even by a few seconds).
No, we are allowing a little extra time for that. The 15 minutes is your actual talk time.
No. There must be no reference to your logo, social channels, website or anything else that is deemed as promotion. Your talk is focused on your idea worth spreading and how it can help the audience.
If it is relevant and appropriate as part of your talk (for example if you did some work or research that lends itself to the story and message) then this is fine. If you use a particular approach or method that is important to include then this is also ok. Please be mindful however that the talk isn’t about your services but about the idea worth spreading that you wish to share.
If there is a prop that you feel would enhance your talk please do speak to the TEDxMoseley Curator, Helen Packham.
We would really love it if you didn’t use notes or prompt cards for your talk. The speaker support that we are providing is designed to give you the confidence to deliver without these prompts. Slides can be used as anchor points to your talk but should be of minimal text and only used to enhance your talk. Remember it’s a talk, not a presentation.
When preparing your slides, please read the following guidance from TED.
Please note that we expect the slides to be in PowerPoint format. If you are using another software, such as Keynote, then you will need to convert it to PowerPoint before you submit your slides to us.
Unfortunately, TED’s regulations clearly stipulate that the only recording that is permitted is the official production of your talks via the dedicated TEDxMoseley production team. Additionally, using other devices can cause interference.
The TEDxMoseley production team will edit each of the talks in accordance with the TED guidelines and these will be submitted to TED directly. Once this is available on TED for the public, we will keep you posted.
